I hope that bearded guy weeds

Woody and I started our very own Victory garden a few weeks back! And while I don't know that we'll have a bumper crop that will have us marching around the block banging the drum to "She's a Grand Old Flag," it might yield some tasty radishes, beets and arugula. Take a look:

There will be a path down the center of the garden so Uncle Sam can tend to the plants when he is not busy wanting YOU! for the Army. Here are our fledgling beets and radishes:


So remember folks, when you doubt your ability to keep tomatoes alive, take this advice to heart:
